ALASKA
Alaska was part of the IRP from 1976 to 1979.   An APPORTIONED plate was issued
for trucks and trailers in 1976, and was used until 1979, validated yearly with stickers.

Currently, it is required that any truck from an IRP jurisdiction which enters Alaska also bear
an appropriate Alaska plate.   Generally, standard passenger plates are issued to trucks
(since commercial truck plates are no longer issued) so trucks will have the same plates as passenger cars.
