License plates for mopeds became mandatory in 1983. In this series, it looks like the numbers moved around the letters. Numbering probably started from 1A0A0 to 9A9A9, then 1A0B0, etc. to 1B0A0, 1C0A0, etc. The highest I have seen is 9H0V0.
