The Z- series (omitted in 1973) was used from January to June 1985.
After ZZZ-999, several letter groups ("words") omitted from 1973-84 were issued. Here are a few of the ones we know (or suspect) were in this group: ALE, BAG, BRP, CAN, CON, END, FEY, FIB, FLU, FOD, FOG, FRT, HEC, HEN, HIP, IDO, IHS, IJU, INK, INU, IVD, JAZ, KAT, KIC, KOW, RED HEY (prefix)

The new series started at AAA-10A after the "word" plates were issued.
1985     August - December:   AAA-10A ... AJZ-99Z
1986     AKA-10A ... BMZ-99Z
1987     BNA-10A ... CNZ-99Z
1988     COA-10A ... EOZ-99Z
	The "D" series was reserved for DEALER plates.
1989     EPA-10A ... FOZ-99Z
1990     FPA-10A ... GKZ-99Z
1991     GLA-10A ... HHZ-99Z
1992     January - November:   HIA-10A ... HZZ-99Z
		This series stopped in November 1992 at HZZ-99Z.
